Room 4 hard at work

Book Week

Book week has been a huge success, with the children taking part in some chinese shadow puppetry, creating an aquarium for rainbow fish, and making beautiful crowns, and hopping frogs! Our Book Week finished with a book week parade. There was quite a collection of cat in the hats, narnia characters, pirates and of course princesses. We really enjoyed our book week.

Jelly Ponds

As part of our instructions unit we made jelly ponds. We really enjoyed making them.

We really enjoyed this show particularly the timekeeper.

Bob the Builder

Room 4 is performed Bob the Builder in the Skool Stars DVD. It was a great hit, especially at the big premiere, where we could hardly hear the DVD for all the children singing along!

Term 2 comments

This term we are going to Huia Pool for swimming. We are having lots of fun and improving our swimming skills. We are looking forward to the aquatics day so we can go in the races and have some free time in the pool. We are also enjoying practising for the cross country race at Normandale school next week on the 3 of June.

Hi and welcome

Room 4 has used First Step, "It would look like this"to create their pictures of a character. The teacher read a story about a princess without showing the pictures. The children in Room 4 had to build a picture in their minds as the teacher read and then they drew a picture of their princess. The children were then able to share there pictures and describe how their princess looks.
