Work Samples

Hi and welcome

Room 4 has used First Step, "It would look like this"to create their pictures of a character. The teacher read a story about a princess without showing the pictures. The children in Room 4 had to build a picture in their minds as the teacher read and then they drew a picture of their princess. The children were then able to share there pictures and describe how their princess looks.
Here is our class with their princess pictures. Notice how we all have different ideas.

What a cool writing activity! It is really interesting that everyone had a slightly different idea about what the princess looked like. Great blog guys! I look forward to reading more during the year.

What a great activity! I've seen a similar idea as an email project where children in one class wrote a description of a character and then children in a partner class drew the pictures to match the description. Great blog!
